About Grace

Grace Chiu graduated with a masters in Children’s Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art.  She enjoys listening to people’s stories, experiencing new things, and traveling alone. Her illustration inspirations typically come from her daily life, such as watching the quiet interactions of strangers in the park. She likes using mixed materials to work, such as colour pencils, watercolours, collages, and digital painiting. For Grace, making illustrations is a way to record her thoughts and share the unique perspectives of those she meets. She aims to create artwork that warms the heart whilst shining a light on topics we might encounter every day but often miss. Through her illustrations, she aims to show that we all have the potential to be understood.
